Macy were saddened to hear of her death, which occurred at her home in Miltonvale, Thursday, May 5, after an illness of about eleven weeks. Rebecca Hockett, daughter of Isaac and Hannah Hockett, was born September 3, 1848, and fulfilled her earthly mission in 72 years, 6 months and 2 days. Macy were saddened to hear of her death, which occurred at her home in Miltonvale, Thursday, May 5, after an illness of about eleven weeks. Rebecca Hockett, daughter of Isaac and Hannah Hockett, was born September 3, 1848, and fulfilled her earthly mission in 72 years, 6 months and 2 days. In the fall of 1865 she was united in marriage with I. N. Macy, and to this union eleven children were born, three of whom died in infancy, and one at the age of seven years. For a number of years Mr. and Mrs. Macy lived in the vicinity of Longford and for a time made their home in Clay Center, later going to Miltonvale to live, and have innumerable friends in Clay county. Mrs. Macy was the finest type of American womanhood. She was a true wife, and mother and was ever concerned about the welfare of her family, and she left to them the tender memory of a most devoted and loving mother. She leaves to mourn her going her husband, six sons and one daughter, twenty-nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two brothers and one sister. Funeral services were held at Miltonvale Saturday afternoon, conducted by her pastor, Rev. DeWitt and interment was made at the Wesleyan cemetery near her old home east of Longford. Rev. F.C.
