A retired minister of the Methodist Church, he served pastorates in Ducktown, Tennessee; Stone, Kentucky; Reevesville, Mt Hope, Clarksburg and Mullins, West Virginia; Ashland and Pikesville, Kentucky. His last charge was at the Main Street Methodist Church in Pikesville from which he retired in 1940. Surviving are his wife, Mrs Bessie Thomas; one son, Robert C Thomas; his mother, Mrs Mary E Thomas, all of Grant; five sisters, Mrs H B Hash, Roanoke, Mrs J W Helvy, Emory, Mrs E T Cornett, Comers... The body will be removed from the Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home at Independence to the home at 2:39 p m Tuesday.
