Description	:	Richard Irvin Anderson, one of ten children of Archie Clifford Anderson and Nita Ruth (Bradway) Anderson, was born on March 31, 1927 on a farm north of Glenwood, Iowa. Read More	Richard Irvin Anderson, one of ten children of Archie Clifford Anderson and Nita Ruth (Bradway) Anderson, was born on March 31, 1927 on a farm north of Glenwood, Iowa. Fondly known as "Woody", he grew up near Glenwood and attended rural Oak Bluff School #3. Later the family moved to Malvern, Iowa where Woody attended Malvern High School. Woody and Jonene Cormay Wise were united in marriage on October 20, 1950 in Glenwood. They made their home on a farm northwest of Malvern and their marriage was blessed with a daughter, Monica Lynn. They had been married nearly 30 years when Jonene died of cancer on July 17, 1980. Woody and Mary Louise (Faust) Spiker were married on September 4, 1982. They made their home in Malvern and Woody continued farming until retiring in 1989. Woody moved to Glenwood in 2005 and later to Red Oak, Iowa. Woody passed away at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital in Red Oak on November 1, 2008, at the age of 81 years, 7 months, and 1 day.    He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife Jonene; brothers, Marion Anderson, age 11, Herbert Anderson and wife Louella, Archie "Bill" Anderson and wife Rosella, Ray Anderson, Floyd Anderson, and Buddy Anderson; sister Ruth Stacy and husband Archie; brothers-in-law, Orville Topp and Louis Miller; and nephew Randall Miller.   Woody is survived by his daughter Monica Hull and husband Alan of Wisconsin Dells, WI; granddaughters, Lori Betts and husband Clifford and their children, Emileah and Nikolus Betts, and Cheryl Jones and Todd Gilleland and their children, Alexa and Hunter Gilleland, all of Red Oak; sisters, Marie Topp of Greenville, TX and Jane Miller of Wahoo, NE; sisters-in-law, Vivian Anderson of Glenwood, IA, Lorraine Anderson and Frances Anderson, both of Shenandoah, IA; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.   A memorial fund has been established.  Interment in the East Liberty Cemetery.
