Hurley Butler, was born Dec. 23, 1907, on the family homestead southeast of Glasco, Kansas. He died March 8, 1990, at Nicol Home in Glasco at the age of 82. Paul grew up on the farm and attended Harmony School. He graduated from Glasco High School with the class of 1928. During World War II, he served with the U.S. Army in the Aleutian Islands. Read More	Glasco Sun March 15, 1990 Page 1: Paul Butler Funeral Saturday Richard Paul Butler, the son of Richard H. and Margaret G. Hurley Butler, was born Dec. 23, 1907, on the family homestead southeast of Glasco, Kansas. He died March 8, 1990, at Nicol Home in Glasco at the age of 82. Paul grew up on the farm and attended Harmony School. He graduated from Glasco High School with the class of 1928. During World War II, he served with the U.S. Army in the Aleutian Islands. Farming was Paul's life, and he was greatly devoted to his work. He especially enjoyed working with cattle, and he stayed on the family homestead for many years until he moved to his home in Glasco. He was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church. Survivors include four sisters, Madaline Steinbrock, and M. Marie Gruenthal and her husband, Albert, Salina; Kathryn A. Burlage and husband, Al, and Rosalie J. Johnson, Denver, Colo.; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, James T. Butler, John J. Butler and one who died in infancy. Mass of Christian Burial was Saturday, March 10 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Glasco, Kans., with Father Ralph Aschenbrenner officiating. Gail Cyr was vocalist, accompanied by Mrs. Gale Ethridge, organist. Casket bearers were Charles Butler, John Butler, Paul Butler, Don Mullen, Lorn Schmidt and Richard Steinbrock. Interment was in the Glasco Cemetery. Arrangements were made by Dean Funeral Home. Obituary Furnished by Cheryl White #47328595
