Robert Carl Tobald, the only child of Carl and Mary Elizabeth Goff tobald, was born Dec. 30, 1915, on the family farm north of Glasco, Kans. Robert Carl Tobald, the only child of Carl and Mary Elizabeth Goff tobald, was born Dec. 30, 1915, on the family farm north of Glasco, Kans. He died suddenly on Nov. 29, 1985, at the age of 69, in the same home where he was born. He grew up and lived his entire life on the farm where his parents settled. He attended the Welcome Grade School and also attended Glasco High School. On July 16, 1944, Robert was united in marriage with Marjorie Ruth Henning at the Lutheran church in Glasco. Three sons were born to this union. Robert enjoyed farming. He loved the land and the many wonders of nature. He was very proud when his sons chose to join him in the farming operation to preserve the family heritage. Survivors include his wife, Marjorie of the home; three sons, William, Robert and his wife, Laurie of Glasco, and James Carl and John Alan of the home; and two grandchildren, Anthony Robert and Kurtis Lee Tobald. He was preceded in death by his parents. Burial was in the Glasco Cemetery. Music was furnished by Virginia Halderson, organist and Bill Martin, vocalist. Casketbearers were Jim Henning, Marvin Henning, Tim Henning, Mike King, Dan Mosher, Loren Pounds. Memorials may be made to the church or to the charity of the donor's choice. Dean Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
