Mary Elizabeth Tobald, daughter of John Albert and Rosa Mae Goff was born August 11, 1896, in Indiana, and died July 5, 1972 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Concordia, Kans. at the age of 85 years, 10 months and 24 days. Mary Elizabeth Tobald, daughter of John Albert and Rosa Mae Goff was born August 11, 1896, in Indiana, and died July 5, 1972 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Concordia, Kans. at the age of 85 years, 10 months and 24 days. As a very small child she moved with her family to Missouri where they lived several years. They came to Kansas in a covered wagon and settled in the Simpson community when she was about 13 years of age. She spent the remainder of her life in the Simpson and Glasco communities. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. On March 24, 1907, she was united in marriage to Carl Tobald and to this union one son, Robert was born. She is survived by her son, Robert; daughter-in-law, Marjorie; three grandsons, William, James and John; one brother, Charles Goff of Kansas City, Kans. Preceding her in death were her husband, parents, three sisters and two brothers. Interment was in the Glasco cemetery. Dean Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
