Memorials: Directed to the family Robert Henry Miller, one of three children of Henry Edward and Faye Ellen (Biggerstaff) Miller, was born on September 23, 1935 in Malvern, Iowa. He grew up and attended school in Malvern, completing his GED on July 23, 1969, then furthered his education by taking classes at Iowa Western. Bob completed 2 years toward a degree in Mid-Management. He served active duty with the United States Army in Korea. Bob worked for Waller Transfer, Midwest Transportation, Earl Dashner, Jr. as a farm operator, and department managers for many packing plants in Omaha, Oakland, IA, and Arkansas. Bob and Beverly Maye Williams were married in Glenwood, Iowa on January 21, 1955. They made their home in Malvern and were blessed with two children, Iva Jean and James Lynn. Bob and Bev established Miller's Upholstery business in their home, becoming so successful that they built a new building on Main Street to house their shop. Bob enjoyed upholstery, racing, woodworking, gardening, fishing, and camping and was as avid HAM operator, call sign KBØLE. He participated in emergency broadcast system which notified persons nationally in case of emergency. Bob and Beverly were married 46 years when Bev died on April 24, 2001 at Clarkson Hospital in Omaha. Bob moved to Council Bluffs, Iowa in 2002 and finally retired from "real work" around 2003. He wanted something to do so he began work at Harrah's Casino in Council Bluffs and was host at the buffet. There he met his second wife, Margaret May Robinson. They were married on February 14, 2009. Margaret died at home with Hospice care on December 26, 2016. Bob passed away on August 30, 2018 at the Tabor Manor Nursing Home in Tabor, Iowa, at the age of 82 years, 11 months, and 7 days. In addition to his wives, Beverly and Margaret, he was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Ruby Etta Miller, and Hazel Ruth (Miller) Wistrom and her husband "Shorty". Bob is survived by his daughter Iva Jean (Bob Gaylord) Richardson of Glenwood, IA; James (Brenda) Miller of Malvern; grandchildren and great grandchildren, Kristine Richardson and her daughters, Emily and Aliyah, Michael (Chelsea) Richardson and their daughter Aurora (with a son on the way), Matthew (Courtney) Richardson and their son Liam, Teyona Dermer and her children, Calvin, Ryan, and Jaxon, Kyra Dermer Miller and her children, Kaleb, Xavier, Gabriel, and RayShana, Robert (Amanda) Miller and their children, Daniel, Maddox, and Chloe, Dillon Harms, Kelly Beall, and Kyleigh Miller; sisters, Frances Benedict (David) Olson of Stanton, IA, and Ann Benedict (Phillip Shenefield) Athy of Stanton; step-siblings, Connie Darnold, Stella Page, and Thomas Miller; nieces and nephews; other relatives; and many friends.
