Description	:	Robert Leroy Zeman was born February 8, 1928, near Pocahontas, Iowa. He was the son of Roy W. and Libbie (Stanek) Zeman. He was educated in country schools and attended Sacred Heart High School. He worked on the farm with neighbors until entering the U.S. Navy. He served during the Korean War from 1950 until his honorable discharge in 1954 and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the Korean Service Medal. Read More	Robert Leroy Zeman was born February 8, 1928, near Pocahontas, Iowa. He was the son of Roy W. and Libbie (Stanek) Zeman. He was educated in country schools and attended Sacred Heart High School. He worked on the farm with neighbors until entering the U.S. Navy. He served during the Korean War from 1950 until his honorable discharge in 1954 and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the Korean Service Medal. In 1966, he retired from farming and began operating his own tractor repair shop. Bob retired from the repair business in 1979 and that same year he and Irene moved into Pocahontas. Bob entered the Pocahontas Manor in 2009. Survivors include his wife, Irene of Pocahontas; children, Steve Zeman of Eldon, MO; Sandra Zeman of Lake Ozark, MO; Scott Zeman of Sanborn, and Sharon Zeman of Milford; two grandchildren; and a sister, Catherine Auten of Pocahontas.
