Man Killed by Monon Train North of Monticello Monticello, May 9 — A northbound Monon passenger train hit a gravel truck at a crossing four miles northwest of here at 10 a.m. today, killing the driver. The victim is Robert Marion Wright, 37, of Chalmers. Riding with him was Roy Lerch, his father-in-law, who leaped to safety when he saw the crash was inevitable. Wright was driving his truck east.
