Description	:	Mike Fulk, affectionately known by his friends as "Big Mike", died unexpectedly on November 25, 2011. Even though Big Mike was taken at an early age, he lived life to the fullest spreading humor and kindness to everyone he met. Read More	Mike Fulk, affectionately known by his friends as "Big Mike", died unexpectedly on November 25, 2011. Even though Big Mike was taken at an early age, he lived life to the fullest spreading humor and kindness to everyone he met. Big Mike, who changed his name recently to "Medium Mike" after losing 80 pounds on a strict diet and exercise regimen, was a graduate of East Surry High School in Pilot Mtn. He attended NC State University where he was a loyal member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. Mike left NC State to take over the family owned Village Super Market in Pilot Mtn. Feeling the pressure from the big grocery chains in the 80's, Mike sold the Village Market and moved to the Myrtle Beach area where he entered a long and successful career in the home improvement business. Mike's Consolidated Builders installed vinyl siding on hundreds of dwellings from Wilmington to Murrell's Inlet and his tee shirts, worn by his crew and many friends, boasted his slogan "Vinyl's Final And Paint Ain't". Mike is predeceased by his mother, Barbara Balcom Fulk and father, Maxwell Edward Fulk. He leaves behind a sister, Susan Louise Fulk of Pilot Mtn., brother Mark Edward Fulk (Beth) of Winston Salem, niece Elizabeth Fulk Lincicome (Scott) of Raleigh, nephew Charles Howell Fulk (Betsy) of Winston Salem, Uncle Bruce Fulk (Mary) of Pilot Mtn., several cousins and his beloved golden retriever Baby Otis. Mike had a philosophy about death as well as life and never wanted his friends and family to mourn his death. He wanted to be held in everyone's hearts as Medium Mike, Connoisseur of all the good things life has to offer. A graveside service led by close friend and fraternity brother, Jim Noble will be held in Pilot Mtn. at the City Cemetery on West Main Street Wednesday, November 30 at 11:00 am. There will also be a celebration of Mike's life in Murrell's Inlet, SC at a later date. Anyone wishing to make a charitable donation in Mike's memory can send contributions to King's Kitchen, P.O.
