Hart, Retired Cologne Merchant, Dies Cologne - Robert Presley Hart, 65, a retired general merchant and postmaster here, died Thursday in Community Hospital, Williamsburg, after a brief illness. Mr. Hart was engaged in the general mercantile business here for 43 years and served 23 years as postmaster before his retirement several months ago. He was a member of Shackelford Chapel Methodist Church, where he was a steward and a church trustee. He was also a past superintendent of the Sunday School. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Virginia Bland Hart, a daughter, Mrs. Vernon Trevilian, and a son, Robert P. Hart Jr., all of Cologne; three sisters, Mrs. J. C. Bland of Shanghai, Mrs. W. F. Thompson of Gloucester and Mrs. Dorothy Norris of Towson, Md.; two brothers, Walter V. Hart and Paul A. Hart, both of West Point, and six grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Shackelfords Methodist Church conducted by the pastor, the Rev. William B. Epps. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will be moved from the residence to the church at 1 p.m. Saturday.
