Description	:	Rose Mary Blohm, the fifth child of Henry and Mary Mathisen Blohm, was born August 6, 1926 in Audubon County, Iowa. Rosemary graduated from Audubon High School with the class of 1944. She was employed with Franck Plumbing and Heating Company in Audubon. She married Roland LaVerne Hansen, son of the Chris W. and Emma Hansen of Exira, Iowa, on March 20, 1949, at the First United Methodist Church in Audubon, Iowa. Read More	Rose Mary Blohm, the fifth child of Henry and Mary Mathisen Blohm, was born August 6, 1926 in Audubon County, Iowa. Rosemary graduated from Audubon High School with the class of 1944. She was employed with Franck Plumbing and Heating Company in Audubon. She married Roland LaVerne Hansen, son of the Chris W. and Emma Hansen of Exira, Iowa, on March 20, 1949, at the First United Methodist Church in Audubon, Iowa. They had an infant son born and died in 1959. The couple lived on a farm near Exira until moving in to Audubon in 1962. Roland and Rosemary were both critically injured in a head-on car accident on Highway 6, three miles east of Dexter, Iowa, during a severe winter storm with poor visibility and a snow-packed road, on March 25, 1964. Roland was driving west in the 1962 station wagon owned by his employer, Hawkeye Electric, when he collided with an east-bound vehicle. Killed in the accident were two people in the other vehicle, the driver Richard J. Dooley, 28, of Omaha, NE, and Harry B. Stille, 41 of Papillion, NE. A third person in the other vehicle, Raymond S. Osborn, 25, of Omaha was injured. Roland died on March 25, and Rose Mary died on March 28, 1964 at the Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, at the age of 37 years, 7 months, and 23 days. Rose Mary is survived by her mother, Mrs. Henry Blohm of Audubon; four brothers: Emmert, Harvey, and Herbert of Audubon, and Louis of Adair; and two sisters, Mrs. LeRoy (Ruby) Jensen, Greeley, CO, and Mrs. Dalton (Shirley) Hansen, Hamlin. She was preceded in death by her husband, father, and an infant son. Casket Bearers were Lester Olsen, John Knudsen, James Jorgensen, August Conrad Jr., Russell Nelson, and Merlyn Molgaard.
