Adams was found a short way from the conveyor belt. Suffocation Cause The physician called in on the case said after an autopsy Tuesday that Adams died of suffocation. Cause of the accident could not be determined. Funeral services for Mr. Adams will be held today (Thursday) at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Phillips Funeral Home with the Rev. Walter G. Smith officiating. Interment will be in the Spring Creek Cemetery. The Goldendale Sentinel, Goldendale, WA., March 8, 1951, page 3 ROYAL EDWIN ADAMS Royal Edwin Adams was born near Goldendale November 29, 1885, the second son of Mary Catherine and Jacob Edwin Adams. He was married to Bessie Jackson June 21, 1908. To this union seven children were born, five of whom survive; Ruth C. Miller of Olympia, W. Harvey of Shelton, Lee Edwin of Martinez, Calif., and Hugh G. and Wesley A. of Los Angeles, Calif., four grandchildren, and two brothers, Chris C. of Goldendale and Claud E. of Klickitat. Mr. Adams joined the Baptist church at Spring Creek when he was 18 years of age and was baptized by his father. He attended the Goldendale Academy and the Benke Walker Business College in Portland. He was bookkeeper for the Hess Milling Company for several years. Mr. Adams operated the bottling plant at Klickitat for three years before moving to Vancouver where he lived for eight years. At the end of that time, he moved to Colton, Ore., and after three years returned with his family to Goldendale where he farmed before beginning to work for the Klickitat Pine Box Corporation several years ago. He passed away at Goldendale February 26 at the age of 65 years, two months and 28 days.
