Mr. Remmick was born Feb. 22, 1916, in Gackle, N.D., the son of Jacob and Anna (Kassman) Remmick. He attended country schools and later worked with the Civil Conservation Corps. He married Alma Schumacher on June 29, 1939, in Steele. They lived on a farm north of Robinson. She died June 16, 1996. He enjoyed gardening, watching his geese and ducks walk around the yard, picking chokecherries, playing cards and driving his team of horses. He is survived by a son, Marvin (Nadine), Robinson; two daughters, Mary Ann Dehne, Robinson, and Elsie (LaVerne) Wolff, Chaseley, N.D.; a sister, Amelia Gruebele, Jamestown; special friends, Blaine (Carla) Schaible and family; 13 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; an infant son, David; four brothers, Ted, Art, Albert and Clifford; five sisters, Mathilda, Johanna, Lydia, Julia and Martha; and a son-in-law, Dale Dehne. Service: 1 p.m. Thursday, United Methodist Church, Robinson, with the Rev. Perry Schnabel officiating. Visitation: 1 to 9 p.m. today, Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown. Burial: Frettim Township Cemetery, Northeast of Robinson.
