Description	:	Ruth Alice (Boys) Danley, 84, of Wilber, Nebraska died Sunday, December 30, 1984 in the Crete, Nebraska hospital. She was born February 17, 1900 on Bow Creek in Kansas, the tenth child of Robert and Eda Alice Boys. Ruth attended school in Kansas. Her mother died when she was eight years old, and she lost her father at the age of thirteen. She was cared for by sisters and brothers, later going to Iowa to live with relatives. Read More	Ruth Alice (Boys) Danley, 84, of Wilber, Nebraska died Sunday, December 30, 1984 in the Crete, Nebraska hospital. She was born February 17, 1900 on Bow Creek in Kansas, the tenth child of Robert and Eda Alice Boys. Ruth attended school in Kansas. Her mother died when she was eight years old, and she lost her father at the age of thirteen. She was cared for by sisters and brothers, later going to Iowa to live with relatives. On March 3, 1923 she married Robert Danley of Malvern, Iowa. They made their home in DeWitt, Nebraska where they were owners and editors of the DeWitt Times News. They were the parents of three children, Robert, Clarence, and Kathryn. Mr. Danley died September 27, 1935 and Ruth continued to operate the newspaper for several years. After selling the newspaper, she worked at DeVol’s Drug Store in DeWitt for 25 years. In 1974 she moved to the Czech Village in Wilber, Nebraska. Ruth is survived by her two sons: Robert of San Francisco, California; Clarence and his wife Marge of Beatrice, Nebraska; and her daughter Kathryn and husband Joe Vosoba of Wilber; two sisters-in-law of Logan, Kansas and Etta Boys of Densmore, Kansas; five grandchildren, Debbie Wagner, Julie and Beth Vosoba, Mark Kildow and Ura Danley; two great grandchildren, Anna and Lee Wagner, and nieces and nephews. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Eda Boys; husband, Robert; seven brothers, Frederick, Frank, George, Harvey, Claude, Ralph, and Theodore; and three sisters, Lillie, Belle, and Florence. Services were held Wednesday, January 2 at the Griffith-Hovendick Chapel in Beatrice. Rev. Dwight Kemling officiated. Interment was in Wesley Chapel Cemetery near rural Henderson, Iowa beside her husband.
