ELLA MOORE IS CLAIMED BY DEATH Was Nationally Known In W. C. T. U. Organization Mrs. Ruth Ella Moore died at her home on Somerset Avenue in this city at 2 o'clock last Monday morning. The cause of her death was apoplexy. She suffered a paralytic stroke last Saturday evening about 7 o'clock after she had been shopping in the business section of the town in the afternoon and was apparently enjoying good health. She never rallied and passed away early Monday morning. Mrs Moore was 67 years of age, and the widow of the late John W. Moore a prominent Crisfield merchant, who preceded her in death about eight years ago. She is survived two brothers, James S. and M. C. Todd; and one sister, Mrs. W. C. McCoy, all of Crisfield. The deceased as a good Christian woman and an active member of Immanuel M. E. Church. She was also a member of the Woman's Christian Temperance Union and was perhaps best known by her interest and activity in that organization. She joined the Crisfield Chapter on December 20, 1895 just one week after its organization and at the time of her death was publicity secretary. She frequently attended the conventions of the National Union. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock, conducted by Rev. J. J. Bunting.
