Description	:	Miller, -- Samuel D., son of Daniel B. and Kathrine (Stutzman) Miller, was born in Johnson Co., Iowa, Nov. 12, 1868; passed out of this life Nov. 26, 1955, following an illness of approximately four years. The last 15 months he was at the Washington County Home. He reached the age of 87 years and 14 days. In the earlier part of his life he was engaged in well drilling, farming, operating a sawmill, and threshing. Read More	Miller, -- Samuel D., son of Daniel B. and Kathrine (Stutzman) Miller, was born in Johnson Co., Iowa, Nov. 12, 1868; passed out of this life Nov. 26, 1955, following an illness of approximately four years. The last 15 months he was at the Washington County Home. He reached the age of 87 years and 14 days. In the earlier part of his life he was engaged in well drilling, farming, operating a sawmill, and threshing. Upon retirement they moved to Wellman in 1930, where he and his son were operating a feed mill. He was baptized in his youth and united with the West Union Mennonite Church, then later transferred his membership to the Wellman congregation where he remained a member until his death. He attended church regularly until health failed him. He was married to Elizabeth Ann Fisher on Nov. 10, 1892, at the home of Daniel B. Miller. They lived together for 63 years. Three children preceded him in death also 2 brothers and 3 sisters, Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth, one son (Ortis W., of Wellman), one daughter (Ollie-Mrs. Norman Parrot of Elida, Ohio), 5 grandchildren, 2 brothers and one sister (Charles D., Alvin D., and Mrs. John H. Slabaugh, all of Wellman). Services were held at the Wellman Mennonite Church Nov. 29 by Geo. S. Miller. Interment in the Lower Deer Creek Cemetery.
