Accompanied by his brother David, of this county, the remains arrived here on No. 2 Saturday evening, and funeral services were held at the Presbyterian church at 11 o'clock Sunday. Deceased was a member of the Randolph Presbyterian church and the services were conducted by his pastor, Rev A. F. Tulley, assisted by Rev. E W Brown. Appropriate music was rendered by the Randolph choir The attendance was very large, very many of the deceased's neighbors and friends coming up from Randolph and vicinity. Interment was made in the Malvern cemetery, where other members of the Kilpatrick family rest. The deceased .was a son-in-law of Mr. Thos Aistrope and brother to Robert and David Kilpatrick, of White Cloud township. He was about 47 years of age and leaves a wife and four children (three sons' and one daughter) in comfortable circumstances. He was a Christian gentleman, highly esteemed by a large acquaintanceship and his community will deeply deplore its loss. The deceased was born in Ireland but spent the most of his life in Illinois and Iowa. He was attacked with gastritis a few months ago and declined rapidly despite all efforts stay the disease. The bereaved wife, children and other relatives wish through THE LEADER to express their gratitude to neighbors and friends for the kindness and sympathy extended them in their sorrow.
