Description	:	Harrison Webster, 83, pioneer resident of Gibbon, died at a hospital in Kearney, Tuesday night. He had been active up until a few weeks ago, and was taken to the hospital just four days ago. Mr. Webster was born in Olean, Indiana, Aug. 16, 1869, and at the age of 16 came to Gibbon with his parents to a farm north of Gibbon. At the age of 18 years he united with The United Brethren Church north of Gibbon, helping build this church, and retained his membership until his death. He had been active up until a few weeks ago, and was taken to the hospital just four days ago. Mr. Webster was born in Olean, Indiana, Aug. 16, 1869, and at the age of 16 came to Gibbon with his parents to a farm north of Gibbon. At the age of 18 years he united with The United Brethren Church north of Gibbon, helping build this church, and retained his membership until his death. He and Miss Mae Harvey were married at Kearney, Feb. 3, 1906. They farmed near Gibbon, and moved into Gibbon about five years later making their home here since that time. Survivors are his wife Mae, two daughters, Mrs. Ervin Donaldson, and Mrs. Marrel Guthrie, both of Gibbon, five grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held from the Presbyterian church at Gibbon, Nebr., Friday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Franklin King, the local pastor and a former pastor Dr. Geo. E. Chapman officiating. Friends may call at the Miller and Godberson Funeral Home, Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. Casket bearers will be Frank Mercer, Glen T. Gibson, Nick Farmer, Dewey Oliver Sr., J.D. Bishop and Elmer Hemmerling. Interment will be in Riverside cemetery. The Gibbon Reporter September 11, 1952
