Mrs. Jones had been in failing health for several months and bedfast since last September 15. SARAH DELLA JONES Mrs. Sarah Della Jones, 61, wife of W. R. Jones of Atlantic, died at noon Thursday at her home in Atlantic following a lingering illness. Mrs. Jones had been in failing health for several months and bedfast since last September 15. She was born near Randolph, Iowa, July 30, 2882, the daughter of James and Mary McDowell Kenworthy and located with her parents in Montgomery County when she was 10 years old. She was educated in the Grant Schools and later attended the Drake University in Des Moines. For several years she taught in the Montgomery County rural schools. On June 24, 1908, she was married to William Kreger at Red Oak, the couple residing at Grant until moved to Atlantic in 1920. Mr. Kreger died there in 1930 and she was married to William R. Jones April 2, 1936. Mrs. Jones was an active member of the Methodist Church and its organizations. Surviving besides her husband are two stepchildren, Howard W. Jones of Waterloo and Mrs. Marjorie Enarson of Kansas City, Missouri; three brothers, Fred and Frank Kenworthy of Grant and Joe Kenworthy of Marsland, Nebraska; two sisters, Mrs. Nora Kreger of Grant and Mrs. John Barr of Red Oak. Three sisters preceded Mrs. Jones in death. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Methodist Church in Atlantic, with the Rev. Lawrence D. Thomas of Atlantic in charge. Mrs. T. C. Whitmore, Harry Cavenaugh and Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Stence sang, accompanied at the piano by Miss Nellie Stewart. Pall bearers for the Atlantic service were Clayton Aeker, Elmer Keller, Allie McGoffin, Ralph Kimball, Ralph Jones, and Roscoe Jones. A short service was held at the grave and burial was in the Grant Cemetery. Those action as pall bearers here at Grant were Roscoe James and Howard Kenworthy, Beryl Roberts and Earl and Russell Barr.
