Description	:	Miss Sarah Francis Osborn was born in Grundy county, Iowa, March 7, 1859, and died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ralph Moyle, in Fairmont, Nebraska on the morning of November 20, 1924, following several months of ill health. She was married to Charles Frederic Kness, October 17, 1882, at Mt. Carroll, Illinois. They came to Nebraska and settled on a farm in York county in 1889. Read More	Miss Sarah Francis Osborn was born in Grundy county, Iowa, March 7, 1859, and died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ralph Moyle, in Fairmont, Nebraska on the morning of November 20, 1924, following several months of ill health. She was married to Charles Frederic Kness, October 17, 1882, at Mt. Carroll, Illinois. They came to Nebraska and settled on a farm in York county in 1889. The husband died on July 16, 1906, and the devoted wife continued to live in this vicinity and reared her family of whom there were four sons and fiver daughters, all of whom, with the exception of John, who died about eight years ago, remain to mourn their loss of a devoted and loving mother. The children who are living are: Bert W. and Oliver Kness of Fairmont; Mrs. Mabel I. Real of Grafton; Mrs. Lula Maranello and Mrs. Jennie Moyle of Fairmont; Walter Frederic Kness of Grafton; Miss Stella Kness of Fairmont and Mrs. Ellen Nevins of Exeter. In addition to these, there are nineteen grandchildren. Mrs. Kness left two sisters: Mrs. Henry Kness of Fairmont and Mrs. Belle Plock of Mt. Carroll, Illinois; also two half-brothers and three half-sisters: Mrs. Jane Reed of Fairmont; Mrs. Alice Kepford of Spirit Lake, Iowa; Mrs. Clara Morgan of Omaha; Willard Osborn of Denver; and George Sterling Osborn of Omaha. During the early married life of Mr. and Mrs. Kness, they united with the Lutheran church at McCool. After coming to Fairmont to live, Mrs. Kness made it her custom to attend the Congregational church. Funeral services were held Saturday, November 22nd, at two o'clock, from the Federated church, Rev. W.F. Perry officiating. Interment was made in the family plot in Fairmont cemetery. She was married to Charles Frederick Kness, October 17, 1882 at Mt. Carroll, Ill. They came to Nebraska and settled on a farm in York county in 1889. The husband died on July 16, 1906, and the devoted wife continued to live in this vicinity and reared her family. The Nebraska Signal November 1924 Sister of Mary Ellen Osborn Kness.
