Read More	Shirley Anne Blackwell Wenatchee, WA Shirley Anne Blackwell, 88, a resident of the Wenatchee area, died Tuesday, March 21, 2017. She was born February 21, 1929, at Neligh, NE, to Graydon and Lois (Nicholson) Templin. The family moved to Chelan, WA, in 1937. She attended Chelan schools and graduated in 1946. During her high school years, Shirley was a member of the Order of Rainbow for girls, reaching her majority at the age of 20. Her continued education and graduation was at Eastern Washington College of Education (now EWU) in Cheney, WA, in 1952. She taught elementary grades in Okanogan, Oroville, and Chelan, retiring in 1982. Shirley was married to Bert Evans in 1952. To this union were born three daughters. They were divorced in 1963. She married Donn Blackwell on February 2, 1980, in Manson, WA. A 50-year resident of Chelan, she moved with her husband to Heritage Haven in Wenatchee, in 1998. She was a member of WSTR, Eagles Auxiliary #2218, and a lifetime member of EWU Alumni Association. Shirley was baptized in the Christian faith in 1976. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law: Eden and Greg Coolie of Cashmere, WA, and Carol and Scott Settle of Omak, WA; one brother, Monte Templin of Wenatchee, WA; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donn Blackwell; a daughter, Christina Evans; her parents, Lois and Graydon Templin; and her sister-in-law, Hester Templin. Friends and family may visit Wednesday, March 29, 2017, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Jones & Jones Betts Funeral Home, 302 9th Street, Wenatchee, WA. A Graveside Service will be held at the Fraternal Cemetery in Chelan, WA, at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 30, 2017.
