Description	:	Stephen Robert Walker was born in McLane (sic) County, Ill., October 8, 1889 and departed this life January 21st, 1927 at his home in Chester, Nebraska aged 67 years 1 month and 13 days. His boyhood days were spent in Grundy, County, Ill. On November 1, 1882 he was united in marriage to Mary E. Miller, to which four children were born: Mrs. Myrtle Tietsort of Omaha, Robert S. of near Chester, Guy F. deceased, and Mrs. Verna Sell of Chester. In 1884 he came to Thayer county (sic), Nebraska, residing on a farm near Chester until 1919. ... In 1884 he came to Thayer county (sic), Nebraska, residing on a farm near Chester until 1919. He moved from the farm to Chester in 1919 where he resided until the time of his death. In 1894 he united with the Church of Christ and has been devoted to his Christ since that time. His was a christian character beloved by all who knew him. He leaves to mourn his departure his wife, three children and one adopted, an child, Glenn Walker of Omaha, eight grandchildren and two great grand children, one brother, J.W. Walker of Mitchell, Nebr.; one sister, Mrs. Mame Forell of Denver, Colo., and a host of friends. Funeral services were held from the Christian Church Sunday afternoon January 23rd and he was laid to rest in the Chester cemetary (sic).
