Description	:	Mrs. Susan Galbraith Passed Away atHer Home—Interment at Malvern Susan Catherine Hardesty was born near Covington, Warren county, Indiana, Jan. 7th, 1854; and died at Emerson, Iowa, April 24, 1920, aged sixtysix years, three months and seventeen days. When young she moved to Illinois, where she married James Babbitt Feb. 10th, 1875. To this union four children were born, Mary and George E.,passing away twenty years ago; Mrs. Dessa Cole, of Emerson, and Frank Babbitt, of Macedonia. Read More	Mrs. Susan Galbraith Passed Away atHer Home—Interment at Malvern Susan Catherine Hardesty was born near Covington, Warren county, Indiana, Jan. 7th, 1854; and died at Emerson, Iowa, April 24, 1920, aged sixtysix years, three months and seventeen days. When young she moved to Illinois, where she married James Babbitt Feb. 10th, 1875. To this union four children were born, Mary and George E.,passing away twenty years ago; Mrs. Dessa Cole, of Emerson, and Frank Babbitt, of Macedonia. She moved with her husband to Iowa in 1875 settling near White Cloud, and later moved near Emerson. Here her husband died October 8th, 1895. She then moved to Emerson, and March 25,1908 she was united in marriage to James Galbraith. In girlhood days she was a member of the Christian church but on moving to Emerson united with the Baptist church. She leaves to mourn her death a husband, two children eleven grandchildren and a host of friends and neighbors. Funeral services were held in the Baptist church at Emerson Monday, April 26th, at 12:30 p. m. Rev. W. J. Robinson conducted the services, and Rev. J. E Wilkins, of Malvern, preached the sermon. The body was taken to Malvern and laid to rest in the Malvern cemetery. Out of town relatives were Mr and Mrs. Wm. Galbraith, Gladstone 111.; Mr. and Mrs. Bacon, Carson, la. Mrs. Amanda Bell, Henderson, Iowa Mr. and Mrs. Tom Craig, of Ashland Nebr.; Wi T. and Lon Moore, Dexter Iowa, and Harry Conrad, of Strahan Glenwood Opinion, May 6, 1920
