Description	:	Susannah was the daughter of Anne Barret and Col. William Dabney of Aldingham. She never married and continued to live at Aldingham with her brother, Colonel Charles Dabney after her parents went to their reward. A bookworm, Susannah passed much of her time reading at Aldingham. According to the John Blair Dabney manuscript, "a depression of the floor was long pointed out, made by the foot-patting...as she sat reading at this favorite spot year in and year out."
