In mentioning the accident, our informant gave us the name of a former husband, that of Davenport, by which she was better known. Services were held from the Mitchell Home, Friday afternoon, at 2:30 o'clock, and were largely attended by relatives and sympathizing friends. Rev. T. S. Hughes officiated. Sylvia M. Roberts, daughter of John and Lillie Quinn, was born April 11, 1896, at Oxford, Nebraska and passed away September 7, 1938, at Oxford, Nebraska, at the age of 42 years, four months and 27 days. She has spent her life around Oxford. Early in life she became a member of the Methodist Church. She was united in marriage to Ed Davenport on February 13, 1913. To this union six children were born, five sons, John; Alfred and Albert, twins; Ernest, and Wayne; and one daughter, Frances. One son and the daughter preceded her in death. She was united in marriage to Lewis Roberts, in 1927. She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Lillie Quinn of Oxford; four sons, John, of Gardenia, California, Alfred and Ernest of Orleans, and Wayne of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; four sisters: Tressie Maggard of Kansas City, Missouri, Anna Longsine and Maggie Longsine of Oxford and Nellie Van Matre of St. Francis, Kansas; and two brothers: George and Joe Quinn of Oxford; and one grandson, David Davenport, as well as many other friends and relatives. She was a kind hearted woman, always thoughtful of her family and friends, so many will miss her CARD OF THANKS We want to take this means to thank all those who remembered us so kindly in the recent loss of our beloved mother and daughter.
