Dunn Dec 25 1933 Sun News January 25, 2002 Dora Dunn GARDEN CITY BEACH Dora Theresa ``Tiny'' Burroughs Dunn , 87, died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2002, at National Health Care Center. She was born May 19, 1914, in Horry County, a daughter of Leon and Della Edwards Burroughs. She was a graduate of Conway High School. In the 1930s, she began a career as a bookkeeper for a furniture-manufacturing business owned by her cousin, Edward Burroughs, and his wife, Elizabeth. Later she worked for Waccamaw Lumber and Supply Co. and Red Hill Chip Corp. as a secretary and bookkeeper, from which she retired in 1974 after 25 years. For many years, she was a member of First United Methodist Church in Conway and served in many leadership positions. At the time of her death, she was a member of Belin Memorial United Methodist Church in Murrells Inlet. Survivors include her husband, Otis G. Dunn of Garden City Beach; three sons, Jim Dunn of Garden City Beach, Frank G. Dunn of Lynchburg, Va., and Perry R. Dunn and his wife, Evelyn, of Orlando, Fla.; two sisters, Myra Cherry and Minnie Bourne, both of Conway; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Belin Memorial United Methodist Church in Murrells Inlet. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Belin United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 528, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576, or to any charity.
