Pallbearers were Wesley Walters, Gerald Maxwell, Ronald Stewart, Fred Lewis, Fredrick Fisher and Ed Day and interment was in the Guss cemetery. Thomas Jefferson Wright, son of Benjamin and Nancy Wright, was born in the State of Kentucky June 19, 1863. At ten years of age he moved to Iowa with his family and lived in the Guss community in Taylor County. In February of 1899 he was married to Edith Lawger and to them were born three children, Helen and Mrs. Cleo Henson of San Bernardino, Calif., and Yale of Villisca. In 1917 Tom Wright retired from active farming and made his home in Villisca until his passing, following an illness of several weeks. He was a member of the Methodist church, first in the Guss community and later in Villisca. Survived by his wife, Edith, his three children, three grandchildren, one great grandchild and three sisters, Mrs. Sue Lewis and Mrs. Alpha Marsh of Villisca and Mrs Mae Nichols of Centralia, Wash.
