White, 70, of 269 Main Street extended, a former city commissioner, died suddenly at his home last night of a heart attack. A native of Westernport, he was a son of the late Patrick and Margaret (Kirkwood) White. He was employed for many years at the White Foundry which was established by his father. He retired in 1943. White, 70, of 269 Main Street extended, a former city commissioner, died suddenly at his home last night of a heart attack. A native of Westernport, he was a son of the late Patrick and Margaret (Kirkwood) White. He was employed for many years at the White Foundry which was established by his father. He retired in 1943. Mr. White served as city commissioner for eight years and was a charter member of Piedmont Council 685, Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of the Holy Name Society and St. Peter's Catholic Church. Surviving ae his widow, Mrs. Adrian C. (Malloy) White, and two nephews, Leo White, Baltimore, and William White, Corpus Christi, Texas. The body is at Fredlock Funeral Home, Piedmont, where it will remain until it is taken to St. Peter's Catholic Church for a Requiem Mass Wednesday at 9 a.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery." White, 70, of 269 Main Street extended, a former city commissioner, who died at his home Sunday, was celebrated yesterday at St. Peter's Catholic Church by Rev. Charles H. Quinn, assistant pastor. Rev. William McVeigh, pastor of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Midland; Rev. Robert Emmett Hannon, Arlington, Va., formerly of here; Rt. Rev. Msgr. A. Scarpati, pastor, and Rev. George J. Pugh, assistant pastor of St. Peter's Church, were in the sanctuary. Burial was in the parish cemetery. Active pallbearers were Adam Zais, Charles Springs, John Determan, John McBee, Francis Cosgrove, Arthur Fazenbaker, Heber Poland and Earl Kalbaugh. Honorary pallbearers included Dr. J. Norman Reeves, Dr. Raymond W. Reeves, Edward Pendergast, P. A. Laughlin, William Kelly, John Niland, John Dugan, Thomas V. McGuire, Marshall Jones, Horace P. Whitworth Sr. and Lewis E. Harris."
