Description	:	Tjark Behrens, son of Jacob and Folke Behrens was born in Basco , Hancock County, Ill. February 25th, 1898. He passed away at a Lincoln hospital on June 24, 1938 at the age of 40 years, 3 months and 29 days. He was baptized in the Lutheran Church near Bentley, Ill. by Rev. Geissler. At the age of 8 years, he came to Adams, Nebraska, with his parents. After due instruction he was confirmed March 13, 1913 in Immanuel Lutheran Church near Sterling by Rev. A. ... Read More	Tjark Behrens, son of Jacob and Folke Behrens was born in Basco , Hancock County, Ill. February 25th, 1898. He passed away at a Lincoln hospital on June 24, 1938 at the age of 40 years, 3 months and 29 days. He was baptized in the Lutheran Church near Bentley, Ill. by Rev. Geissler. At the age of 8 years, he came to Adams, Nebraska, with his parents. After due instruction he was confirmed March 13, 1913 in Immanuel Lutheran Church near Sterling by Rev. A. Fernhaber. Here he grew to manhood and spent the remainder of his life. He was sick a great deal. His father and mother and one sister and one brother preceded him into eternity. He leaves to mourn his departure his brothers, Ekke, Minert, George and Herman. His sisters, Mrs. Kate Franken of Burchard, Neb. and Anna Behrens of Adams and a number of relatives and friends. He was laid to rest in the Lutheran Cemetery at Sterling, Nebraska, Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon at the Lutheran Church by his former pastor Rev. A. G.
