Description	:	ANNA BEHRENS DIES AT BEATRICE ON THURSDAY Antje Harmina, daughter of Jacob E. and Folke (nee) Huls was born on February 11, 1888 at Chalton, Ill. On March 15, 1889 she was baptized at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Golden ,Ill. By Pastor Geissler at Bentley ,Ill. Antje received her education in the rural schools of Illinos. With her parents she came to Nebraska in 1906 and settled on a farm near Adams. In 1945 she moved into Adams and made it her home until 1967. ... Read More	ANNA BEHRENS DIES AT BEATRICE ON THURSDAY Antje Harmina, daughter of Jacob E. and Folke (nee) Huls was born on February 11, 1888 at Chalton, Ill. On March 15, 1889 she was baptized at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Golden ,Ill. By Pastor Geissler at Bentley ,Ill. Antje received her education in the rural schools of Illinos. With her parents she came to Nebraska in 1906 and settled on a farm near Adams. In 1945 she moved into Adams and made it her home until 1967. Ill health caused her to give up her home and move to the Ceriatries Ward in the Mennonite Hospital. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid. On September 21, 1972 she was called to rest at the age of 84 years, 7 months and 10 days. Preceding her death were her parents, her son, LaVerne, six brothers and two sisters. Surviving her are one brother, Herman Behrens of Sterling, three grandchildren Mrs. Darryl (LaDonna) Remmers of Pickrell, Mrs. LaVerne (Diane) Verkamp of Lincoln, five great grandchildren, one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Tena Franken of Cortland, two sisters-in-law Mrs. Ekke Behrens of Beatrice and Mrs. Herman Behrens of Sterling, nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends . Funeral services were held at Immanuel Lutheran Church, east of Adams Sunday afternoon with burial at Highland Cemetery, Adams. Rev. Arthur Wittrock officiated.
