Description	:	Henry Jacob Behrens was born in Basco, Illinois, October 13, 1896, and died in Lincoln , Nebraska, April 28, 1933 at the age of 36 years, 6 months and 13 days. In infancy he was given to his Lord in Baptism in the Lutheran Church at Basco, Illinois. He moved with his parents to his Nebraska home in 1906. He was confirmed in the West Sterling Lutheran Church, April 9, 1911 by Rev. Finhauber. He recieved his schooling at Harmley District. Since then he has been engaged in farming. He was united in marriage... Read More	Henry Jacob Behrens was born in Basco, Illinois, October 13, 1896, and died in Lincoln , Nebraska, April 28, 1933 at the age of 36 years, 6 months and 13 days. In infancy he was given to his Lord in Baptism in the Lutheran Church at Basco, Illinois. He moved with his parents to his Nebraska home in 1906. He was confirmed in the West Sterling Lutheran Church, April 9, 1911 by Rev. Finhauber. He recieved his schooling at Harmley District. Since then he has been engaged in farming. He was united in marriage at Clarinda, Iowa, February 7, 1931 to Ruth McKnight of Adams, Nebraska. He leaves to mourn his death, his wife, one son, Robert, his aged father, five brothers, two sisters and a host of relatives and friends. His mother, one brother and one sister preceded him in death. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon in the Presbyterian church, conducted by the pastor, Rev. J. T. Hollingsworth, and were very largely attended. Burial was in Highland Cemetery. The pallbearers were all nephews: Urban, Arnold, Alvin Behrens and Henry, Meinert, Louis Franken. Relatives attending the funeral of Henry Behrens from out of town were: Jacob Huls, his sons, Meinert and Lubbe and their wives, of Basco, Ill. George Miller, John Jurgens and Ecke Miller of Gurley , Nebraska. Tjark Huls of Hamilton, Ilinois, Geyerd Huls of Carthage, Illinois, George Huls and wife of Warsaw, Ill. Gerd Behrens, his sons George and Herman of Little Rock, Iowa, Ubbe Behrens of Sibley, Iowa.
