BOLEY DIES IN CITY Life Long County Resident Taken After 3 Weeks' Illness Vesta Ann Boley (sic), former resident of Liberytyville, died at 10:30 a.m. today at the home of her daughter Mrs.Gus Kelley 206 East Lowe street in this city. Mrs. Boley was the widow of David T. Boley who died three years ago. She was 82 years old on January 7, 1933. She came to the Kelley home about four weeks ago, and had been seriously ill for three weeks. She had been a life long resident of Jefferson county. As yet no funeral arrangements have been made. The body is now at the Hoskins Funeral home. She is survived by the following children, Mrs. Bernice Hoffman of Horton, Kans., Guy of Packwood, Mrs. Myrtle Kelley of Fairfield, and Ray also of Fairfield. She leaves the following brothers and sisters, Mrs. George Moore of Albion, Nebr., Mrs. Mary Doughty of Fairfield and A. L. Stanford also of Fairfield. She is survived by 17 grand children, and 13 great grand children. ---------------- Obituary: Fairfield Daily Ledger Saturday July 22, 1933 Pg. 2 Col. 6 OBITUARY VESTA ANNE BOLEY Vesta Anne Stanford was born January 7, 1851, at the old Stanford homestead in Cedar township, Jefferson county, Iowa. She grew to womanhood there, and was married to David T. Boley, on November 20, 1879, moving soon after to the Keltner farm near Beckwith. Later they moved to a farm west of Libertyville and in 1913 purchased a home in LIbertyville where she had since made her home. Coming to Fairfield several weeks ago to visit her daughter, Mrs. Gus Kelley (sic), she was taken ill and passed away July 11, at 10:30 a.m. She accepted Christ in early life and was a member of the Presbyterian church in Libertyville. Her husband, David T., passed away in 1930. She is survived by the following children: Mrs. Bessie Huffman of Horton, Kans.; Mrs. Gus Kelley (sic) and Ray of Fairfield; Guy of Packwood, and the following brothers and sisters, Mrs. Mary Doughty and A. L. Stanford of Fairfield, Mrs. E.K. Moore of Albion, Nebraska. Funeral services were conducted Thursday afternoon at the Hoskins Funeral Home at 2:00 o'clock, by Rev. Whiting. Miss Mary Stever, Mrs. Albert Johnson sang "Beautiful Isl of Somewhere," "City of Four Square," and "Jesus Savior Pilot Me, " accompanied by Miss Reva Patton. Burial took place at Evergreen cemetery.
