Description	:	Virgil Lloyd Kapple, son of Edwin J. Kapple and Emily Ann Bull, was born August 8, 1894 in Adams County, Iowa near Nodaway. He passed away August 3, 1971 at the Mercy Hospital in Burlington, Iowa. He was hospitalized only a few days, but had been in failing health for the last nine years. Read More	Virgil Lloyd Kapple, son of Edwin J. Kapple and Emily Ann Bull, was born August 8, 1894 in Adams County, Iowa near Nodaway. He passed away August 3, 1971 at the Mercy Hospital in Burlington, Iowa. He was hospitalized only a few days, but had been in failing health for the last nine years. He attended school in Adams County and Nodaway. On August 31, 1919, he was married to Jessie A. Narigon in Nodaway. To this union two daughters were born, Dorothy King of Boise, Idaho and Elaine Decker of Spokane, Washington. Mr. Kapple was employed by the Burlington Railroad which he served faithfully in many towns in his area. He was road master on the Galesburg Ottumwa Division of the CB and Q Railroad for many years before his retirement. He was a member of the Methodist Church and a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge in Red Oak. In his passing he leaves besides his wife and daughters, six grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He also leaves 4 sisters, Birdiee, Mable, and Lecretia Barker of Villisca, Holene Robinson of Detroit, Michigan, one brother, Sylvester Baker of Nodaway. He was a brother-in-law to Mrs. Francis Murphy and Dwain Narigon of Villisca. He also leaves a host of relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Kapple celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary August 31, 1969 in Villisca at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Francis Murphy. Memorial services were held Friday morning, August 6, at 9:30 in Burlington, Iowa at the Elliott Lunning Chapel with burial at 3:30 at the Nodaway Cemetery. Rev. Carl Klirn of Burlington and Rev.
