Description	:	Charles Sylvester Barker, son of Charles Ora Barker and Emily Ann Bell, was born June 19, 1910 and passed away November 10, 1910 and passed away November 10, 1972 at the Universary of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 62 years, 4 months, and 22 days. On February 24, 1935, he was united in marriage to Ida May Lippold. The birth of three daughters, Joyce Darlene, Erma Jean, and Karen Louise, and one son Paul LeRoy, enriched the marriage. He farmed in the Nodaway community almost all of his life. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Nodaway which he served lovingly. During his lifetime he always thought of others first and himself last. He always practiced the Golden Rule. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, sister, Esther, and three half-brothers, Ira, Virgil, and James Kapple. He leaves to mourn his passing, his beloved wife, Ida May; his daughters, Joyce Jenkins of Nodaway, Mrs. Allen (Jeannie) Bishop of Macomb, Illinois, Mrs. Floyd (Karen) Gourley of Shenandoah, Iowa and Paul Barker of Nodaway; six grandchildren, four sisters, Birdice, Mabel, and Lucretia Barker of Villisca, and Mrs. Hallene Robinson of Taylor, Michigan; several nieces and nephews and other relatives and many good friends.
