Mr. and Mrs. Beamer and Ralph formerly lived on section nine in the Senca neighborhood. Mr. Beamer passed away several years ago, and Ralph is employed in Wichita. Mrs. Beamer is a sister of Mrs. T. Beamer of Nemaha township are wearing a crown, jeweled by 56 years of married companionship. They were married in West Virginia, August 24, 1882. So many blessing have come to them it would be hard to list them in the degree of their benediction, but certainly two sons and one daughter come first. They are B. H. Beamer and Mrs. Mary Crom on farms near Pawnee City, and Ralph who is in partnership with his father on the home farm. Mr. and Mrs. Beamer have 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Second perhaps, would be physical strength to do the things which come to hand. Mr. Beamer pitches into work about the farm with almost the same ruggedness that he did 40 years ago. He had six horses on the plow when this was typed Tuesday. Mr. Beamer takes care of the home and at the same time has a studious interest in what is going on about her. The Beamers might be called non-conformists. Mrs. Beamer does not subscribe to the 20th century's addiction to alcohol. Neither she, her husband nor Ralph believe that economic salvation is to be found in America except as individuals pitch in and help themselves. They have no panacea for current ills except thrift and industry. Mr. and Mrs. Beamer came from West Virginia in 1889 and settled first in Pawnee county. They came to Nemaha county in 1911 and have lived 10 miles north of Seneca ever since. Mr. Beamer bought and shipped livestock out of DuBois for 17 years. Mr. and Mrs. Beamer were born in Monroe county, West Virginia. Mr. Beamer was 78 last January 11th. Mrs. Beamer will be 78 next November 7th. They expect to spend their 56th anniversary going about their usual tasks.
