Her maiden name was Virginia P. Livingston and she was born in Hart County, Kentucky, March 15, 1848, and at the time of her death she was 84 years and three days old. Read More	Obituary: The Miller County Autogram, Thursday, March 1932 Mrs. Henry Bear, one of Ulman's most honored and respected women, died at her home Friday following an attack of pneumonia fever. Her maiden name was Virginia P. Livingston and she was born in Hart County, Kentucky, March 15, 1848, and at the time of her death she was 84 years and three days old. She was united in marriage to Benjamin A. Castleman, who died in 1880. She was united to Henry Bear in 1885. He died Dec. 23, 1915. To this union four children were born. Two died in infancy and a son—Willard Bear, died Feb. 28, 1928. One daughter, Mrs. Lucy Ratliff, survives; also five step-daughters—Miss Lucinda Bear of Iberia, Mrs. Eva Umstead of Tuscumbia, Mrs. Dora Mitchell and Mrs. Olive Reed of Irma, Alberta, Canada, and Mrs. Anna Ihmels of Colville, Washington. In early life she united with the Hickory Point Baptist Church and joined the Ulman church by letter in Nov. 1914, and lived a consistent Christian life and attended her church as long as she was able. She is the last of a family of 13 children. She leaves to mourn her loss one daughter, five step-daughters, four grandchildren and many relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted at 11:00 o'clock Saturday, March 19th at the Hickory Point Baptist Church by Rev. W.W. Bunch. Burial was made in the Hickory Point Cemetery.
