Description	:	On March 9, 2012 Virginia left her earthly home to share her infectious personality with the community of heaven. She was born in Chehalis on the first day of spring, March 20, 1941 to Charles and Marie Dunn. She was a lifelong Centralia resident and graduated from Centralia High School in 1959. Read More	On March 9, 2012 Virginia left her earthly home to share her infectious personality with the community of heaven. She was born in Chehalis on the first day of spring, March 20, 1941 to Charles and Marie Dunn. She was a lifelong Centralia resident and graduated from Centralia High School in 1959. She married Denny David in 1959 and had three children: Ann, Mary, and Kirk. Later, as a single mother, she worked for Weyerhaeuser and met Charlie Boyd. They married in 1979 and with Charlie, she gained another son, Brandon Boyd. They moved the family to the countryside to live out Virginias glamorous dream of being a farmer. Virginia retired in 2007 after many years working in the probation department of Lewis County District Court. Virginia was an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Centralia, serving in every area she possibly could, from wedding coordinator to Sunday school teacher to singing in the choir. As part of her church outreach, she played traditional hymns on the piano every Sunday for the residents of Sharon Care Center, including her mother, Marie Dunn (96). Virginia was also a member of the In Stitches quilt group and considered its members and all of her countless friends to be an extension of her family. Virginia had numerous hobbies and many items still on her bucket list. She especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends, quilting, gardening and growing flowers for weddings and for the farmers market and taking care of animals on the farm. She also enjoyed riding her bicycle around town and frequent swimming dates with her beloved grandchildren. Virginia is survived by her mother Marie Dunn of Centralia, husband Charlie Boyd of Centralia and her children: Ann (Steve) Latimer, Mary (Myrl) Brown, Kirk (Angie) David and Brandon (Marinda) Boyd. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Hannah (Boone), Griffen, Tate, Max, Chloe, Dru, Jake, Josh, Bryson, Rebekah and Lillian, niece Allison (Rinear) Glover and family friend Linda Meyer. A celebration of life for Virginia will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Centralia. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the First United Methodist Church or to the Project Linus quilt group which was very dear to her heart. Donations can be left at the church or mailed to the First United Methodist Church, 506 S. Washington Ave., Centralia, 98531. Arrangements are being assisted by Newell-Hoerlings Mortuary. To say that Virginia will be missed is an understatement, but we know that she is singing in the heavenly choir and busy tending the gardens of her new home in heaven. Her strong spirit waits there, ever joyful for her family and friends.
