Description	:	Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon for Walter Bernhard Jensen who died July 6 at the Denison hospital. He was 40 years, 11 months and 4 days old. Services were held at the Friedens church with the Rev. A.F. Rinne in charge. Walter Bernhard Jensen, youngest son of Christian Jensen and Mary nee Teut was born Aug 2, 1908, on a farm in Morgan township. Jan 18, 1933, he was united in marriage to LaVerne Hansen. Read More	Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon for Walter Bernhard Jensen who died July 6 at the Denison hospital. He was 40 years, 11 months and 4 days old. Services were held at the Friedens church with the Rev. A.F. Rinne in charge. Walter Bernhard Jensen, youngest son of Christian Jensen and Mary nee Teut was born Aug 2, 1908, on a farm in Morgan township. Jan 18, 1933, he was united in marriage to LaVerne Hansen. Two sons were born to this union, Dale Eugene and Dennis Walter. Mr Jensen spent his entire life in this community. After receiving his education in the public schools he worked on different farms. After his marriage he and Mrs. Jensen moved into the home where they have since resided. About three years ago he became ill with gall bladder and liver ailments. In December of 1946 he went to Illinois where a successful operation was performed. After two years of restored health he again became ill and in May he submitted to an operation in Sioux City. After returning home he was able to be up and about until last Tuesday. He is survived by his widow, LaVerna; two sons, Dale and Dennis; his aged parents, Mrs and Mrs Chris Jensen; three brothers, Alfred and Arnold of Schleswig and Harvey of Denison. Burial was made in Morgan Cemetery.
