Description	:	Walter Grossoehme, son of Ernest and Selma Anna Turk Grossoehme, was born in a sod house near Valentine, NE, March 6, 1893, one of 10 children. Walter attended rural schools near Blair and in DeSoto, NE. On December 23, 1915 he married Tillie Woods at Nemaha, NE. 9 children were born to this marriage. They farmed in the Nemaha community and since 1954 have lived on their farm south of Howe. They joined the United Methodist church in Auburn, NE in the mid 1950's.
