Read More	PROMINENT UNION COUNTY FARMER CALLED BY DEATH Last Rites Are Held Saturday Morning For Wayne Snyder Wayne Snyder, a prominent farmer in Union county, South Dakota, passed away at St. Joseph's Hospital in Sioux City, after a brief illness, aged 64, years, 2 months and 5 days, on Wednesday, August 17, 1960. Mr. Snyder was born at Hawarden, Iowa, on June 11, 1896, the eldest of eight children born to Mr. and Mrs. G. T. Snyder. Later the family located on a farm south of Akron, Iowa, where he grew to young manhood and attended Akron Public Schools. On June 12, 1923, he was united in marriage with Bernice Harris and to this union two daughters were born. Most of his life was spent farming in the Akron vicinity. Left to mourn his departure are his widow, Bernice, and two daughters, Mary Ellen (Mrs. Don Caskey) of Akron, and Miss Dorothy Snyder, of San Jose, California, and six grandchildren; three brothers, Ross Snyder, of Cadillac, Mich.; George Snyder, of Long Beach, California; Paul Snyder, of Sioux City, Ia, and three sisters, Mrs. Glenn Reynolds (Helen), of Madison, Wis.; Mrs. Elmer Hammer (Laura), of Sheldon, Iowa, and Mrs. Walter Hertz (Enida), of Bakersfield, California. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. T. Snyder, and one sister in infancy. Funeral services were held Saturday morning at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, with Rev. J. G. Skahill officiating. Pallbearers were Clarence Aalfs, Robert Root, Everett Coyle, Leo Henrich, Gerald Henrich and Joe Dalton. Burial was in the. Catholic cemetery, with Rev. Jerome Coyle conducting the graveside rites. Relatives from a distance who attended the funeral services were: Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Reynolds, of Madison, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Ross Snyder, of Cadillac, Mich.; Mr. and Mrs. Paul Snyder, of. Sioux City. Ia.; Dr. .and G. W. Mills, of Wall, S. D.; Mrs. Mayme Chicoine, of Sioux Falls, S. D.; Kirk Putnam, of Armour, S. D.; Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Putnam, of Corsica, S. D.; Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Putnam and family, of Armour, S. D.; Rev. Jerome Coyle, of Sioux City, Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Boe, of Sioux City.
