Wes attended Chase County High School and graduated in 1978. He attended Southeast Community College in Milford studying electrical engineering and received a Master’s Degree in business from Phoenix University in 2007. He married Sandra Lock on July 15, 1978 in Holyoke, CO. They were the parents of two children: Holly and Zachariah. Wes was very outgoing and was quick to spread joy to those around him. In 1987, he began his mission work with the Cristo Al Mundo Mission, serving in Costa Rica, Guatemala, Mexico and then returning to Guatemala. The family returned to the US in 1999. Wes worked in the insurance industry as well as serving as a pastor for several congregations. He is survived by his wife, Sandra, daughter and son-in-law, Holly and Steve Young, grandchildren, Audrey and Aaron Young, mother, Claudia,sisters and brothers-in-law, Kathi and Dr. Joseph Abate, Amy and Brent Milton, mother-in-law, Evelyn Lock, several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Zachariah, his father, Harold “Burns” in May 2016.
