Shine loved and enjoyed all his family. He is survived by his wife: Virginia Racette, Clyde, KS; sons: Rick Racette & ex wife, Debbie Blackwood, Clyde, KS, Terry Racette & wife Barbara, Clyde, KS & Sean Racette & wife Janet, Hutchinson, KS; daughter: Tina Peterson & husband Steven, McPherson, KS; brothers: Ronald Racette, Clyde, KS & Bob Racette & wife Shirley, Larned, KS; sister: Darlene Weatherhead, Clyde, KS; grandchildren: Luke & Carrie, Jessica & Jocelyn, Heath, Stephanie & Trisha & Cami, Derek & Brooke; great grandchildren: Taylor, Dakota & Jarett, Colton & MacKenzie, Hope, Ty, Hali, Trae & Kira, Autum, Adaline, Alexa & Austen, & Payton, Tucker & Callyn. He was preceded in death by his infant son, Leland Wayne; parents; sister, Jean Weatherhead & an infant brother, Eldon Racette. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM, Mon., May 24, 2010 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Clyde with Rev. Larry Letourneau officiating. A Rosary service will be held at 9 AM, Monday at the church. Visitation will be held from 1-8 PM with the family greeting friends from 6-8 PM, Sunday at Chaput Mortuary, Clyde. Burial will follow the services at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Clyde. The family suggests memorials to the Park Villa Nursing Home, Meadowlark Hospice, Clyde Ambulance Service or American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
