Laizure, 69, Winterset grocer for many years, died at the Methodist hospital in Des Moines March 28, following a stroke on March 19. He moved to Des Moines about nine years ago where he has since made his home. William B. Laizure, son of William Hamilton and Nancy Laizure was born near Winterset, June 12, 1869, and passed away at the Methodist hospital in Des Moines March 28, 1939. On December 26, 1893 he was united in marriage to Harriet Ann McDonald who preceded him in death 21 years ago. To this union were born three sons, Robert H., of San Mateo, California; Loran W., of Des Moines, and E. Burnell of Redwood City, California. He is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. George McDonald and Bella Laizure, both of Janesville, Ohio, and four brothers, Hiram N. of Winterset; James T. of Linneus, Missouri; Ralph L. of Los Angeles, California, and Albert Lee of Winterset. Also four grandchildren. In October, 1929 the deceased was married to Cynthia Gilbert and had made his home in Des Moines most of the time since. Prior to this, he had made his home in and around Winterset and South Dakota. When a young man he united with the First Baptist church in Winterset.
