He had been in failing health for some time and his death was caused from general debility. He leaves to mourn his loss a wife, three sons and two daughters, all of whom are at home, excepting a married son and daughter. The deceased was fifty-one years of age. He came to this country from Germany at the age of sixteen years and has resided in this state ever since. He was in business in this city in the 70's formerly with C. W. Thomas in the old O. K. store. He has lived on his present farm for over twenty years. The deceased was a highly respected and valuable citizen and the community suffers a severe loss in his death.
