Description	:	William Eickman, 79, a native of Seward and a resident of Freeport since 1925, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Edgar Jester, Marysville, Kan., yesterday. He had been with his daughter for the past several months. While in Freeport he resided at 1354 West Lincoln boulevard (sic). Funeral services will be held at Chester, Neb., Tuesday afternoon. He joined the Methodist church (sic) at Chester, Neb., in 1897 and while living in Freeport affiliated with St. John's Evangelical and Reformed church (sic), having been a member of the church board. His wife passed away Dec. 10, 1923. He was again married Aug. 15, 1925, to Mrs. Caroline E. Brokhausen and since that time resided in Freeport. Besides his wife he leaves the following children, Mrs. Clara Jester, Mrs. Carrie Meyer, Marysville, Kan.; Mrs. Della Priefert, Mrs. Edna Brown, Liberal, Kan.; Mrs. Florence Larkins, Lawrence Eickman, Chester, Neb.; Mrs. Mabel Klingman, Chappell, Neb. Two brothers also survive, Fred Eickman, Belleville, Kan.; Louis Eickman, Ashton, Ia. Freeport Journal Standard, January 10, 1942 ===== William Eickman, son of Louis and Mary Eickman, was born September 15, 1862 and passed away January 10, 1942 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Edgar Jester at Marysville. He was married to Miss Emma Louise Runte on December 29, 1885. The following February they moved to Republic county (sic) near Chester. They joined the Methodist church (sic) in Chester in 1897. To this union were born seven children, Mrs. Clara Jester, and Mrs. Carrie Meyer of Marysville, Mrs. Della Priefert and Mrs. Edna Brown of Liberal, Mrs. Mabel Klingman of Chappell, Neb., Lawrence Eickman and Mrs. Florence Larkins of Chester, all of whom survive. There also are 29 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Fred Eichman (sic) of Belleville and Louis Eichman (sic) of Ashton, Ia. His wife, Emma, preceeded (sic) him in death December 23, 1910. He kept the home intact until all his children were grown and married. On August 15, 1925, he was united in marriage to Caroline Brokhausen of Freeport, Ill., who also survives. They made Freeport their home, but his health failed him the past two years and he wanted to spend his last days among his children, and so made his home with them at various place. While living in Freeport he was a member of the St. John's Evangelical church (sic). He served on the church board in both Chester and Freeport. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon in the Methodist church (sic) at Chester with the Rev. E.R. Peterson officiating. Interment was in the Chester cemetery (sic).
