Description	:	Wm. Peterson Rites Sunday Afternoon Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon in the St. Paul's church for Wm. Peterson and burial was in the Evergreen cemetery. Rev. L. G. Marx conducted the last rites. William Fred Peterson was born at Benson, Nebraska, Oct. 28, 1891. Marx conducted the last rites. William Fred Peterson was born at Benson, Nebraska, Oct. 28, 1891. At the age 14 years he moved with his parents to a farm near Loup City, Nebr., and devoted most of his life to farming. He was united in marriage to Anna Gross on February 9, 1916. To this union three daughters were born, Mrs. Hazel McCall of Nampa, Idaho, Wilma and Ruth at home. He has been a member of the I.O.O.F. lodge since 1918 and was Past Noble Grand of the order. Death came to him at an Omaha hospital September 8, at the age of 50 years 10 months and 11 days. He is survived by his wife and three daughters, a son-in-law and a little grand daughter Ava Jean, two sisters, Mrs. E. J. Dolling of Osceola, Iowa, and Mrs. Annetta Anderson of Arnold; four brothers, Charles J. and Johnnie R. of Loup City and Albert L. and Harry A. of Kimball, besides other relatives and friends. His parents and two sisters preceeded [sic] him in death. Relatives and friends attending the service from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie McCall and daughter of Sampa [sic], Idaho; Julius Gross of Chicago, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Gross and Mr. and Mrs. J. Peters and son of Glidden, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hopke of Ashton, Mrs. E. J. Dolling and Harold of Osceola, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Peterson and Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Peterson of Dix; Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Anderson of Arnold; Mrs. C. W. Peterson, Mr. and Mrs. Chris Bauman and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Viges all of Grand Island; Mr. and Mrs. John McCall of Iowa and Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Wicklund of Kansas. The Sherman County Times - Sep 16 1942
