Description	:	MR. MCCULLEY SERVICES HELD William H. McCulley, 57 of 622 Reed St., Grinnell, died Saturday evening at Grinnell General Hospital. He had been ill with cancer for several months. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Grinnell Assembly of God Church, with the Rev. Sam Reaves officiating. Organist was Naomi Reaves. Pallbearers were Michael James, Andrew McCulley, Kenneth McCulley, James McCulley, Randall McCulley, and Robert McCully Jr. Burial was at West Liberty Cemetery near Searsboro. The Smith Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. The son of John and Catherine Capehart McCulley, he was born Feb. 13, 1921 near Thornburg. He attended Gibson High School. On Dec. 29, 1941, he was married to Margaret Snider at Rockport, MO. He was inducted into the U.S. Army on Sept. 2, 1942, and served with the 534th Coast Artillery Anti-Aircraft Battalion in Europe. Following his discharge in 1945, Mr. and Mrs. McCulley moved to Lynnville and farmed for 13 years. Mr. McCulley was employed for a period with the International store, and in 1958 they moved to a farm near Montezuma. In 1962 they moved to Grinnell where he was emplyed by Massey-Ferguson store, and for the past 12 years he had worked in the paint department of Amana Refrigeration. He is survived by his wife, Margaret; his children, Roger W. McCulley of Grinnell, Mrs. JoAnn McCammant of Grinnell, John McCulley of Kellogg, Gary McCulley of Grinnell and Mrs. Leila Pickens of Grinnell; eight grandchildren; seven brother, Vernon of What Cheer, Marvin of Andalusia, Ill., Robert of Brooklyn, Kenneth of New Sharon, David of Omaha, Neb., and Harlan of Brooklyn; and three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Sampson of Keswick, Mrs. Jean Williams of Barnes City, and Mrs. Helen James of Deep River. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Accord.
