Born in Kent, Aug 11, 1852, he had spent all his life in Salem. For a number of years he was in business with his brother, James Henshillwood, operating a grocery store on Main St., near the present site of the Votaw market. Read More	March 9, 1940: Former Grocer Succumbs Here William Henshillwood, 87, retired grocer, died at 10:15 a.m. today at his home, 795 East Third St, of complications. Born in Kent, Aug 11, 1852, he had spent all his life in Salem. For a number of years he was in business with his brother, James Henshillwood, operating a grocery store on Main St., near the present site of the Votaw market. After his brother went to Cleveland, he operated the store alone for several years. He retired 22 years ago after conducting the business 35 years. Mr. Henshillwood was a member of the Odd Fellows lodge and the Royal Arcanum. He and his wife, the former Ella Nogal of Columbiana, whom he married Nov 28, 1878, in Columbiana, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in 1938. Surviving are his wife; two daughters: Mrs. Mary Quass of Canton and Mrs. Agnes Foster of Twinsburg; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Laura Ferguson of Salem. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the Stark Memorial in charge of service is Rev. G. D. Keister, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery, March 11.
