Mr. Foster was born in Clayton County on March 12, 1876, a son of Mr. and Mrs. James Foster. He was married Aug. 16, 1909 to Miss Edna Shaw of Edgewood and the home was made on a farm near Wood until 1936 when Mr. Foster retired from active work and moved to Manchester. Mr. Foster was a member of the Methodist Church and the Masonic and IOOF fraternal organizations. Survivors are his widow, his father, James H. Foster of Edgweood; four sons, Archie (sic), James, Conrad, and Perry, all of Manchester; one brother, Roy of Edgewood; and one sister, Mrs. George Burroughs of Waterloo.
